Edmond de Rothschild, the Italian branch of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, supported as financial advisor the Bellarosa and Tosanotti families in the sale of 100 percent of the shares of Casa Vinicola Caldirola S.p.A., a company based in Missaglia (Lecco). The company boasts more than 50 employees and closed its 2021 financial statements with revenues of 40.3 million euros and earnings before taxes and interest of about 2.2 million euros.
Founded in 1897 by Ferdinando Caldirola, Casa Vinicola Caldirola markets wines from all regions of Italy, both nationally and internationally, in the large-scale retail trade. Its historic brand is “La Cacciatora,” known in prominent Italian, Spanish, French, German, and Chinese large-scale retail chains.
As previously reported on these pages, the Edmond de Rothschild Group is among the world’s leading producers of premium wine products. It boasts 500 hectares of production located on four continents. In seven properties in France, Argentina, Spain, South Africa, and New Zealand, more than 3.5 million bottles are produced and distributed annually. This expertise in the field makes the group one of the top corporate finance players in the wine sector at the European level: transactions carried out in the last five years correspond to a cumulative enterprise value of more than 500 million euros.
